How It Works
This tool uses RMBG-1.4 by BRIA AI — a state-of-the-art background removal model — running entirely in your browser via WebAssembly (ONNX Runtime). On first use it downloads a ~44 MB quantized model from HuggingFace and caches it locally. Subsequent images are processed immediately. No server upload, no API key, no subscription.

Tips for Best Results
Use images where the subject is clearly separated from the background. Good lighting and high contrast between subject and background improve accuracy. If the result has rough edges on a complex image, try a version with better contrast or a cleaner background first.
