Live Exchange Rates
Exchange rates are fetched from the Open Exchange Rates API (open.er-api.com) — a free, public source updated daily. Rates are cached in your browser for one hour to minimise API calls. The base currency is USD; all other rates are derived from it.

How Rates Are Calculated
All rates are cross-calculated via USD. For example, to convert EUR → GBP: the tool divides the GBP/USD rate by the EUR/USD rate. This means any two currencies can be converted even if a direct pair is not available from the API.
