Right to left: 0+0=0, 0+1=1, 1+1=10 (write 0 carry 1). Keep carrying until done.

How do you subtract binary numbers?

Work right to left, borrowing when needed. Borrowing 1 from the next column gives you 10 in binary (value 2).
